Here’s some of the important legal stuff, and our club policies - These are vitally important for our club culture, as well as keeping our community strong, safe and happy!

Strength training, when appropriately dosed, is very safe and an important part of living a healthy life. Your safety in training with us at the club is paramount.

At the club we pride ourselves on our integrity - Our terms and wording of these policies has been given careful consideration for the mutual benefit of everyone at the club…

“By training at West Coast Barbell Club, I (the participant) understand that there is a risk of personal injury and, with this knowledge, agree to assume the risk of any injury during my time training at The Club.

I further agree to strictly obey any and all instructions given by any of West Coast Barbell Club's coaches and also agree to observe any and all safety rules. Specifically, I agree to hold harmless West Coast Barbell Club and all other members connected with West Coast Barbell Club from all losses, damages, injuries, causes of actions, claims, or complaints in the event that I become injured or my property becomes damaged in any way during the participation in, instruction of and / or performance of any exercise, or during any activity, associated with The Club.

Because of the physical demands of strength and conditioning training I understand that I must be in suitable physical condition to participate in training at / with the club. I am also aware that if I have not already completed a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q Form), that I must request to complete one prior to participating in training, and I acknowledge that I (the participant) am responsible for ensuring that the details of this form are kept up-to-date at all times. I also understand that the only medical treatment West Coast Barbell Club will provide in the case of injury to me or any other individual is First Aid.

I am aware that West Coast Barbell Club is more than just a gym - It is a community and a team. Collectively we are guided by a few fundamental principles:

1. Honesty – I will not make false or misleading statements to anyone associated with West Coast Barbell Club and will be true to my word in every way possible.

2. Positivity – I will not bring a negative attitude to West Coast Barbell Club nor will I bring or express negativity towards any individuals associated with it.

3. Commitment – If I say I am going to do something, I will do it. This applies to my attendance, training and support for the West Coast Barbell Club community.

I agree to never procure, use or distribute any performance enhancing drugs while being involved with The Club, and understand that if I do, I may be liable for any potential damages.

I also acknowledge that if I cause damage or am responsible for damage to any of The Club's facilities or property or the property of any associated individuals, that I will be responsible for the cost of resolving those damages.

It is important we also state our payment terms - Our club does not operate with any “lock in” contracts.

Payments can be paused or cancelled with 7 days notice; no cancellations can be accommodated within this time frame. However, private coaching sessions can be rescheduled if 48 hours notice is provided.

Additionally, as all club merchandise items are made to order, we cannot offer refunds simply for a “change of mind”, only in the event a product is faulty will a refund or exchange be considered.

Thank you.
